How much are we worth?
Given this passage alone I believe that if only one person in the world would repent and follow after Christ, God would still come in human flesh to save that one person. God's love is so profound I cannot believe how deep this love goes. He will leave the 99 for the 1? I would have wiped out the whole planet and considered it a lost investment, time to start over. But God would sweep down to save the one! Profound!
If you would remember in Genesis 18-19, Jesus was going to judge Sodom and Gomorrah and Abraham talked God to not destroying it if only 10 righteous people were there, for would God destroy the righteous with the wicked? Surely not! But there was not 10 righteous people, and God's angels still saved Lot's family with the exception of his dumb wife who looked back. Those who put their hands to the plow and look back are not fitting for God's kingdom!
