unstoppable
19 But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the jail and brought them out. 20 “Go, stand in the temple courts,” he said, “and tell the people all about this new life.” Acts 5:19-20 TNIV
The apostles were fulfilling what God had called them to do and that was to preach the good news of Jesus Christ however this did not come without opposition and persecution. The religious leaders of that day did ever thing imaginable including have a part in putting Jesus to death in order to stop the spread of the gospel. But what is amazing is that there has never been a time in history when anyone has ever been able to stop the spread of the Word of God! They thought prison would stop them but it couldn’t.
What a great reminder to me when I feel like my witness or testimony to others about Jesus is useless or senseless. God’s Word has the power to give new life and it will never ever lose its power to do so. This renews my courage and confidence today to keep sharing the goods of Jesus Christ.
God thank you so much that your Word is eternally guarded and that it beings new life to those who believe and I do!
