Ashamed of the Gospel
We so often act as if we are ashamed of the Gospel. We water it down by over contextualization. We make the people God is saving and not saving to be more important than the word being infallable. We changed text or say things are different than they are in order to justify ourselves and our own lack of Faith. I thank God that He is working in our hearts and drawing His Church back to Himself. People Like John Piper, Tim Keller, Mark Driscoll, Matt Chandaler, Timothy Lane, Paul Tripp, Makoto Fujimura, Eric & Judy Ludy are a breath of fresh air. Men and Women who are not ashamed of the Gospel. Who submit to its authority and believe every word spoken.
Lord I pray that your Church would be filled with men and women of faith in you. Not in intilectual pride and worldly idealism. I pray we could love you better and that your love would overflow from our hearts so we can serve and love you and then others.
