The road less traveled much harder.
Many of us love to take the easy way out, in most if not all situations. But studies have shown that most successful people had to take the hard way to get where they were. Words like persevere, attention to detail, long-suffering come to mind. Matthew 7 talks about building a strong foundation and building your house on it, so that come what may, it will not be destroyed. I think of this is terms of keeping yourself faithful and dedicated to God, all a part of keeping your "house" strong and unshakeable. Other parts of the chapter talks about being a hypocrite to others. We cannot tell someone that something is wrong, when we are still doing that exact thing.... I cannot tell someone to stop cursing because its not like god, and i do it myself everyday... God stresses that we should straighten ourselves prior to being a witness to someone else. But most importantly DO NOT gossip about someone else's problems until you are sure that you have overcome those same problems yourself (Gossip is not good in any sense).
