1 Chronicles 2
1 These are the sons of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun,2 Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
3 The sons of Judah: Er, and Onan, and Shelah; which three were born unto him of Shua’s daughter the Canaanitess. And Er, Judah’s first-born, was wicked in the sight of Jehovah; and he slew him.4 And Tamar his daughter-in-law bare him Perez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were five.
5 The sons of Perez: Hezron, and Hamul.6 And the sons of Zerah: Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara; five of them in all.7 And the sons of Carmi: Achar, the troubler of Israel, who committed a trespass in the devoted thing.8 And the sons of Ethan: Azariah.
9 The sons also of Hezron, that were born unto him: Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai.10 And Ram begat Amminadab, and Amminadab begat Nahshon, prince of the children of Judah;11 and Nahshon begat Salma, and Salma begat Boaz,12 and Boaz begat Obed, and Obed begat Jesse;13 and Jesse begat his first-born Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shimea the third,14 Nethanel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,15 Ozem the sixth, David the seventh;16 and their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. And the sons of Zeruiah: Abishai, and Joab, and Asahel, three.17 And Abigail bare Amasa; and the father of Amasa was Jether the Ishmaelite.
18 And Caleb the son of Hezron begat children of Azubah his wife, and of Jerioth; and these were her sons: Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.19 And Azubah died, and Caleb took unto him Ephrath, who bare him Hur.20 And Hur begat Uri, and Uri begat Bezalel.
21 And afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, whom he took to wife when he was threescore years old; and she bare him Segub.22 And Segub begat Jair, who had three and twenty cities in the land of Gilead.23 And Geshur and Aram took the towns of Jair from them, with Kenath, and the villages thereof, even threescore cities. All these were the sons of Machir the father of Gilead.24 And after that Hezron was dead in Caleb-ephrathah, then Abijah Hezron’s wife bare him Ashhur the father of Tekoa.
25 And the sons of Jerahmeel the first-born of Hezron were Ram the first-born, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, Ahijah.26 And Jerahmeel had another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.27 And the sons of Ram the first-born of Jerahmeel were Maaz, and Jamin, and Eker.28 And the sons of Onam were Shammai, and Jada. And the sons of Shammai: Nadab, and Abishur.29 And the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail; and she bare him Ahban, and Molid.30 And the sons of Nadab: Seled, and Appaim; but Seled died without children.31 And the sons of Appaim: Ishi. And the sons of Ishi: Sheshan. And the sons of Sheshan: Ahlai.32 And the sons of Jada the brother of Shammai: Jether, and Jonathan; and Jether died without children.33 And the sons of Jonathan: Peleth, and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.34 Now Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. And Sheshan had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarha.35 And Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant to wife; and she bare him Attai.36 And Attai begat Nathan, and Nathan begat Zabad,37 and Zabad begat Ephlal, and Ephlal begat Obed,38 and Obed begat Jehu, and Jehu begat Azariah,39 and Azariah begat Helez, and Helez begat Eleasah,40 and Eleasah begat Sismai, and Sismai begat Shallum,41 and Shallum begat Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begat Elishama.
42 And the sons of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel were Mesha his first-born, who was the father of Ziph; and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron.43 And the sons of Hebron: Korah, and Tappuah, and Rekem, and Shema.44 And Shema begat Raham, the father of Jorkeam; and Rekem begat Shammai.45 And the son of Shammai was Maon; and Maon was the father of Beth-zur.46 And Ephah, Caleb’s concubine, bare Haran, and Moza, and Gazez; and Haran begat Gazez.47 And the sons of Jahdai: Regem, and Jothan, and Geshan, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph.48 Maacah, Caleb’s concubine, bare Sheber and Tirhanah.49 She bare also Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbena, and the father of Gibea; and the daughter of Caleb was Achsah.
50 These were the sons of Caleb, the son of Hur, the first-born of Ephrathah: Shobal the father of Kiriath-jearim,51 Salma the father of Beth-lehem, Hareph the father of Beth-gader.52 And Shobal the father of Kiriath-jearim had sons: Haroeh, half of the Menuhoth.53 And the families of Kiriath-jearim: The Ithrites, and the Puthites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; of them came the Zorathites and the Eshtaolites.54 The sons of Salma: Beth-lehem, and the Netophathites, Atroth-beth-joab, and half of the Manahathites, the Zorites.55 And the families of scribes that dwelt at Jabez: the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, the Sucathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hammath, the father of the house of Rechab.

1 야곱의 열두 아들은 르우벤, 시므온, 레위, 유다, 잇사갈, 스불론,
2 단, 요셉, 베냐민, 납달리, 갓, 아셀이었다.
3 유다의 아들은 엘, 오난, 셀라였으며 이들은 가나안 사람 수아의 딸에게서 난 자들이었다. 그러나 맏아들 엘은 사람이 너무 악하였기 때문에 여호와께서 그를 죽이셨다.
4 그리고 유다의 며느리 다말이 유다를 통해서 베레스와 세라를 낳았으므로 유다에게는 아들이 모두 다섯이었다.
5 베레스의 아들은 헤스론과 하물이며
6 세라의 아들은 시므리, 에단, 헤만, 갈골, 다라 모두 다섯 사람이었다.
7 그리고 갈미의 아들은 아간이었는데 그는 아주 없애 버려야 할 전리품을 감추어 두었다가 이스라엘 백성에게 재앙을 불러일으킨 자였다.
8 그리고 에단의 아들은 아사랴였다.
헤스론의 자손들
9 헤스론의 아들은 여라므엘, 람, 글루배였으며
10 람은 암미나답의 아버지였고 암미나답은 유다 지파의 지도자인 나손의 아버지였다.
11 나손은 살마를 낳았고 살마는 보아스를,
12 보아스는 오벳을, 오벳은 이새를 낳았다.
13 이새에게는 일곱 아들이 있었는데 맏아들 엘리압, 둘째 아비나답, 셋째 시므아,
14 넷째 느다넬, 다섯째 랏대,
15 여섯째 오셈, 일곱째는 다윗이었다.
16 그리고 그들의 누이는 스루야와 아비가일이었으며 스루야의 아들은 아비새, 요압, 아사헬이었고
17 아비가일은 이스마엘 사람인 예델과 결혼하여 아마사라는 아들을 낳았다.
18 헤스론의 아들 갈렙에게는 아수바와 여리옷이라는 두 아내가 있었으며 아수바가 낳은 아들은 예셀과 소밥과 아르돈이었다.
19 그리고 아수바가 죽은 다음에 갈렙은 에브랏과 결혼하였다. 에브랏은 그를 통해 훌이라는 아들을 낳았고
20 또 훌은 우리를 낳았으며 우리는 브사렐을 낳았다.
21 헤스론은 60세가 되었을 때 길르앗의 아버지인 마길의 딸과 결혼하여 스굽을 낳았고
22 스굽은 야일을 낳았으며 야일은 길르앗 땅에서 23개의 성을 다스렸다.
23 그러나 그술과 아람이 그에게서 이 성들을 빼앗고 또 그낫과 그 주변 일대의 60개 부락을 빼앗았다. 이들은 모두 길르앗의 아버지인 마길의 후손들이었다.
24 헤스론이 죽은 다음에 그의 아들 갈렙이 자기 아버지의 아내였던 에브라다와 결혼하자 에브라다가 아스훌을 낳았으며 그는 후에 드고아의 창설자가 되었다.
25 헤스론의 맏아들인 여라므엘의 아들은 맏아들 람과 그리고 브나, 오렌, 오셈, 아히야였다.
26 또 여라므엘에겐 아다라라는 다른 아내가 있었는데 그녀는 오남의 어머니였다.
27 그리고 람의 아들은 마아스, 야민, 에겔이었으며
28 오남의 아들은 삼매와 야다이고 삼매의 아들은 나답과 아비술이었다.
29 아비술은 아비하일과 결혼하였으며 그들 사이에는 아반과 몰릿이라는 아들이 태어났다.
30 나답의 아들은 셀렛과 압바임이었다. 셀렛은 아들 없이 죽었으나
31 압바임에게는 이시라는 아들 하나가 있었다. 그리고 이시의 아들은 세산이며 세산의 아들은 알래였다.
32 삼매의 동생 야다에게는 예델과 요나단이라는 두 아들이 있었다. 예델은 자식 없이 죽었으나
33 요나단에게는 벨렛과 사사라는 두 아들이 있었다.
34-35 그리고 세산에게는 아들이 없고 딸들 만 있었는데 그는 딸 하나를 이집트 사람인 자기 종 야르하에게 주어 아내로 삼게 했으며 그들은 앗대라는 아들을 낳았다.
36 그리고 앗대는 나단을 낳았고 나단은 사밧을,
37 사밧은 에블랄을, 에블랄은 오벳을,
38 오벳은 예후를, 예후는 아사랴를,
39 아사랴는 헬레스를, 헬레스는 엘르아사를,
40 엘르아사는 시스매를, 시스매는 살룸을,
41 살룸은 여가먀를, 여가먀는 엘리사마를 낳았다.
갈렙의 자손들
42 여라므엘의 동생인 갈렙의 맏아들은 메사였으며 그는 십을 낳았고 십은 마레사를, 마레사는 헤브론을 낳았다.
43 그리고 헤브론의 아들은 고라, 답부아, 레겜, 세마였다.
44 세마는 라함을 낳았고 라함은 요르그암을 낳았으며 레겜은 삼매를,
45 삼매는 마온을, 마온은 벧－술을 낳았다.
46 갈렙의 첩인 에바는 하란, 모사, 가세스를 낳았으며 하란에게도 가세스란 아들이 있었다.
47 야대의 아들은 레겜, 요담, 게산, 벨렛, 에바, 그리고 사압이었다.
48 갈렙의 또 다른 첩인 마아가는 세벨, 디르하나,
49 맛만나의 아버지인 사압, 막베나와 기브아의 아버지인 스와를 낳았다. 그리고 갈렙에게는 악사라는 딸이 있었다.
50 갈렙의 후손들은 다음과 같다:갈렙과 그의 아내 에브라다가 낳은 장남 훌의 아들은 기럇－여아림의 창설자인 소발,
51 베들레헴의 창설자인 살마, 벧－가델의 창설자인 하렙이었다.
52 기럇－여아림의 창설자인 소발은 하로에 사람들과 므누홋 주민 절반의 조상이 되었다.
53 그리고 기럇－여아림에 살던 씨족들은 이델파, 붓파, 수맛파, 미스라파였는데 이들 씨족에서 소라와 에스다올의 두 집안이 나왔다.
54 베들레헴의 창설자인 살마는 느도바 사람, 아다롯－벧－요압 사람, 마나핫 사람의 절반, 소라 사람들의 조상이었다.
55 그리고 야베스에 사는 서기관의 일족은 디랏 사람, 시므앗 사람, 수갓 사람들이었으며 이들은 모두 레갑 가문의 조상인 함맛에게서 나온 겐 씨족이었다.
