Psalm 15

1 Jehovah, who shall sojourn in thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, And speaketh truth in his heart;

3 He that slandereth not with his tongue, Nor doeth evil to his friend, Nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbor;

4 In whose eyes a reprobate is despised, But who honoreth them that fear Jehovah; He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not;

5 He that putteth not out his money to interest, Nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

1 Ein Psalm Davids.t / Wer darf in deinem Zelte weilen, Jahwe, / Wer darf auf deinem heilgen Berge wohnen?2 Er, der unsträflich wandelt und das Rechte tut, / Der Wahres denkt in seinem Herzen.3 Er verleumdet nicht mit seiner Zunge, / Fügt einem andern nichts Böses zu / Und bringt nicht Schimpf auf seinen Nächsten.4 Gering ist er in seinen eignen Augen und verachtet;t / Doch ehrt er die, die Jahwe fürchten. / Wenn er auch schwört zu seinem eignen Schaden — / Er ändert es doch nicht.t5 Sein Geld leiht er nicht aus auf Zins,t / Er läßt sicht nicht bestechen zum Schaden von Unschuldigen.t / Wer so handelt, der wird in Ewigkeit nicht wanken.t
