Psalm 77
1 I will cry unto God with my voice, Even unto God with my voice; and he will give ear unto me.
2 In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord: My hand was stretched out in the night, and slacked not; My soul refused to be comforted.
3 I remember God, and am disquieted: I complain, and my spirit is overwhelmed. Selah
4 Thou holdest mine eyes watching: I am so troubled that I cannot speak.
5 I have considered the days of old, The years of ancient times.
6 I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart; And my spirit maketh diligent search.
7 Will the Lord cast off for ever? And will he be favorable no more?
8 Is his lovingkindness clean gone for ever? Doth his promise fail for evermore?
9 Hath God forgotten to be gracious? Hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? Selah
10 And I said, This is my infirmity; But I will remember the years of the right hand of the Most High.
11 I will make mention of the deeds of Jehovah; For I will remember thy wonders of old.
12 I will meditate also upon all thy work, And muse on thy doings.
13 Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: Who is a great god like unto God?
14 Thou art the God that doest wonders: Thou hast made known thy strength among the peoples.
15 Thou hast with thine arm redeemed thy people, The sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah
16 The waters saw thee, O God; The waters saw thee, they were afraid: The depths also trembled.
17 The clouds poured out water; The skies sent out a sound: Thine arrows also went abroad.
18 The voice of thy thunder was in the whirlwind; The lightnings lightened the world: The earth trembled and shook.
19 Thy way was in the sea, And thy paths in the great waters, And thy footsteps were not known.
20 Thou leddest thy people like a flock, By the hand of Moses and Aaron.

1 Dem Sangmeister Jedutun zum Vortrag übergeben.t Ein Psalm Asafs.t2 Laut will ich schrein zu Elohim; / Laut ruf ich zu Elohim, daß er mich höre.3 Zur Zeit meiner Not sucht ich Adonái. / Meine Hand hat sich zu ihm ausgestreckt / Und ist nicht erschlafft; / Meine Seele will sich nicht trösten lassen.4 Gedenk ich Elohims, so muß ich seufzen;t / Sinne ich nach,t so verzagt mein Geist.t Sela.5 Du hast meine Augen wach gehalten; / Ich war zerschlagen und konnte nicht reden.t6 Da gedachte ich denn der alten Zeit, / Der längst entschwundenen Jahre.7 Dacht ich des Nachts an mein Saitenspiel,t / So klagte ich tief, / Und grübelnd fragte mein Geist:8 "Wird denn Adonái auf ewig verstoßen / Und nimmer wieder gnädig sein?9 Ist denn seine Huld auf immer dahin, / Ist's mit der Verheißung für allzeit aus?10 Hat Gott vergessen, gnädig zu sein, / Oder sein Erbarmen in Zorn verschlossen?" Sela.11 Da dacht ich denn: "Mein Leiden ist dies, / Daß die Rechte des Höchsten sich hat geändert."t12 Ich gedenke der Taten Jahs, / Ja, ich gedenke, wie du / So wunderbar seit der Vorzeit gewaltet.13 Ich will sinnen über all dein Tun / Und dein herrliches Wirken erwägen.14 Elohim, dein Weg ist erhaben! / Wo ist ein Gott, groß wie Elohim?15 Du bist der Gott, der Wunder tut, / Unter den Völkern hast du deine Macht offenbart.16 Du hast mit Kraftt dein Volk erlöst, / Die Söhne Jakobs und Josefs. Sela.17 Die Wassert sahen dich, Elohim, / Die Wasser sahen dich und bebten, / Auch die Tiefent erzitterten.18 Die Wolken ergossen Wasser, / Der Donner krachte aus dem Gewölk, / Und deine Pfeilet flogen umher.19 Dein Donner dröhnte im Wirbelwind; / Blitze erhellten das Erdenrund, / Es wankte und bebte die Erde.20 Im Meer ging dein Weg dahin / Und dein Pfad durch mächtige Wasser. / Doch deine Spuren sah man nicht.t Wie Schafe hast du dein Volk geleitet / Durch Moses und Aarons Hand.t
