It is interesting that Tamar, Rahab, Ruth and Bathsheba are listed.
They represent more than an individual but stories...tragic stories of deception and unfaithfulness...reminding that God does not nil icy us when we mess up.
And inspiring stories of leaving behind old ways and turning to God.
In fact that is what Jeaus coming is all about
...inviting us to leave our old lives and accept Him, taking our lives which are messed up and making something beautiful.
