How to Approach a Holy God

Ps. 5:7 - "But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple."

So many people feel inadequate to pray or go to church before of their shortcomings. They say, "How can such a holy God accept such a sinner like myself?" Ps. 5:7 has the answer: the mercy of God.
It is only by the mercy of God that we can come before God. God's mercy is His forgiveness. He will forgive everyone of their sins, if they sincerely confess them to Him and repent from them (1 Jn. 1:9; Acts 3:19). That's what Jesus died on the cross for. Then we can come before God with a clear conscience and a joyful heart.
