I Peter 1:8-9 Do you have this joy?
To the question of 'How sure are you of your salvation?' I like to respond with this verse. When you truly have the faith that saves, you should be filled with this inexpressible joy. The question is 'Do you have this Joy?' Or, do you need more than Jesus to complete your joy? Do you need the world to fully satisfy you? As I read somewhere, 'Are you looking for heaven in the flames of hell?'
Even if you are, it's ok. Due to the sins in this world and in you, the temptation will come. Important thing is that you pick up your Cross daily. Even if you failed yesterday, today you pick it up again. As with the people in AA (alcoholics anonymous) says it's been 400 days since my last drink instead of saying that 'I am no longer an alcoholic.'because the moment that they say that will be a moment that they may have a drink without thought, we have to constantly remind ourselves that we are sinners who are only saved and am joyful because of grace of God.
