Adam and Eve never held themselves accountable for their actions. They continued to blame everyone else, even though they had a choice. In our sin, we cannot blame everyone else. It wasn't everyone else that caused us to sin, it was us that caused us to sin. God, shows in these scriptures that we have the free will to choose. Just because someone might tell you something does not mean you have to follow through. Eve and Adam both knew what God had told them, but they still chose to eat the fruit anyway. It was their actions that banished them from the garden, no one elses.
