Greed & Jealousy
Greed & jealousy are like a cancer that eats away at people, and it spreads as cancer with gossip & back biting. Moses was their target - they accused him of thinking he was better than they were because God placed him in leadership. in fact, Numbers 12:3 says Moses was more humble than anyone. His own brother & sister fell into that same sin trap of jealousy & God punished Miriam w/ 7 days of leoprosy.
Moses interceded on the peoples' behalf begging for the Lord's mercy on their sins yet he was their target many times. It is so important to pray for our leaders, for those in ministry. And if we have concerns that they aren't fulfilling their position correctly, it is never right to talk behind their backs and create discension. Go to them directly with a prayerful spirit and pray faithfully for each other. Jealousy and greed has torn many ministries apart. dont take part in this sinful, destructive behavior. The Israelites robbed themselves of seeing the promised land because of whining, discontent, and ingratitude.
