Grow Up
How many times did you hear in the 80s and 90s the phrase: "Grow up!"? I know if you didn't have it directed toward you, you definitely have directed that phrase toward someone else.
We also need to grow up in our relationships with God. Staying the same isn't synonymous with being a follower of Jesus. When we are connected to Him, we are ever evolving into who he wants us to become. And we are leaving the ideas of the world behind.
Now that seems a bit overwhelming.
But we need to remember that it is a day by day, moment by moment, commitment. It starts with a small decision and then spans into a lifetime.
Babies grow up into adults, and we should do the same in our faith in Jesus, one moment at a time.
