The first statement of their belief and faith
The first statement and gesture of the Israelites belief and faith in God as they begin their 40 year journey. It started with them seeing signs and wonders. throughout their journey they went through various stages of belief and unbelief, and constantly needing signs and wonders. Thus, a journey that should have taken a few days took 40 years. However, even in that, their journey is a testament and testimony left to us today about faith, struggle, the love of God, His mercy and grace. How to deal with all kinds of adversity and to know that God is forever with us. In time, God's time, by Faith we will reap the promises.
