Sometimes following God's statutes make us feel like we miss out on all the fun stuff peopleare doing. N by fun stuff, I dont neccessarily mean clubbing n the ikes.. Sometimes its just goin out with company for a meal nd what not. But because majority of people recognize us as Jesus Freaks, they may also not wanna hang around such an extreme personality lest they be offended from correction.
What God is saying is that, we shouldnt be serving n praying to God to let us fit in, but for God to change them so thay they will come to us. It reaches a point in non-blivers lives when something happens and they start questioning the existence of a higher power. At that point, they dont need a friend who just wants to fit in with all companys but one who stands by his principles even if it means standing alone. Then, one can be able to persuade them to try Jesus. Ultimately, we believers never stand alone, God tends to slowly bring people into our isoated lives.
The periods of isolation, God uses also to train us out of group think and into "heavenly wisdom" as Paul calls it. When we are alone, we develop a more intimate relationship with Jesus Christ and we learn to recognize his voice.
Pastor. Priscilla explained how when Jesus first met Peter, he was amidst men. But JC asked Peter to sail with him to the "deep waters" where no one could see them. Therewithin, Jc performed a miracle and caused the abundance of fish to overwhelm the boat's weight. Similarly, it is during our periods of isolation, just like Jeremiah, when God does the greatest work in our lives..
Be patient brethren!!
