Hard Times and Trouble
Does God use hard times and trouble to get our attentiin? I think so not that I think its the only way. But Elihu thinks that any time their are hard times that God is trying to get our attention and that just isnt true. They can be of our own making! Sometimes God will use them to teach us but he didnt send them. One thing that I see across Job is a very skewed picture of God. Some of the things they say ring true to us in our way of thinking, but when it is God's
character it just isnt the case. God does not sit in the heavens waiting for us to sin so that he can rain punishment down on us. How we relate to God is determned by how we view God. The only way to know him is to get into his word where he tells us about himself and to spend time in conversation with him. He wants us to know him!
