Boundaries- part 1

Back in the Garden of Eden, God told Adam and Eve about ownership (Gen 1:28) Be fruitful and increase in numbers. Rule over the fish, birds, and every other living creature.

We were made in the image of God- Created to take responsibility over certain tasks! Part of taking responsibility is knowing what is our job and what isn't.

We need to know where our responsibility ends and soneone elses begins- Boundaries. One thing we must first understand is the difference between "Burdens" and "Loads". Life can be very hectic when we don't know this.

Gal 6:2 Obey the law of Christ and bear each other's burdens. (Denying ourselves to do for others what they cannot do for themselves is the sacrificial law of Christ- Burdens can be thought of as huge boulders- crisis/tragedy- too heavy for us to carry alone)

However, in Gal 6:5 we are taught that we shall each carry our own load. (We have to take ownership of our responsibilities- this is like our "knapsack", a daily load that is light enough to carry on our own)

This is not to be confused with walking in fellowship with other believers and sharing struggles, big or small... there is nothing wrong with reaching out to your sister in Christ to help u see things clearly.
