Faith without works is dead..
An example of faith and obedience working together is found in the story of Jesus’ friend Lazarus being raised from the dead. Lazarus had been dead and buried for four days. But before Jesus could speak the words that would bring him back to life, the huge stone covering the burial cave had to be rolled away.
He told the people standing by, "Take away the stone...” John 11:19. Couldn’t the God that raises the dead just speak the words and the stone would roll away of it’s own accord? Of course he could!! God can do anything that He desires to do. But the Bible teaches that God will not work by supernatural strength what you can do with your natural strength.
God will not do for us, what we can do for ourselves!
