Praising God in hopelessness
Gain inspiration from Paul and Silas; even in the horrific positions they found themselves in, they still had the faith to worship.
I find when my spirit is downcast, worship and praises to God lift me back up. Why?
In praising God, you are defying whatever darkness is looming around you. You are showing off to the devil that, "look here, you may think you can bring me down, but my God is Mighty!"
Like Paul and Silas, after praising God, our souls are released from whatever is bringing you down. You may not be able to change the situation, but how you respond to it reflects your true faith.
Bring whatever my way, but nothing could ever stop me from praising God. As long as I have life in me, I will sing and shout at the top of my lungs "MY GOD IS MIGHTY TO REIGN" (Hillsong)
Take that all you agents of darkness! God's light shines brighter than all the stars put together. It cannot and will never be dimmed!
