Moses wrote a historical narrative about the deliverance of the Israelites from Egypt. He listed the command from The Lord for he and Aaron to lead the people out of Egypt followed by the clan leaders and families that were freed.
Notice that the command to bring the people out of Egypt is repeated 3 times in 13, 26, and 27. In Hebrew, there was no punctuation so they repeated things for emphasis, e.g., "Simon, Simon," "Moses, Moses," "Fallen, fallen is Babylon." The ultimate superlative is to repeat something 3 times, e.g., "Holy, holy, holy is The Lord" and "Woe! Woe! Woe." So Moses is emphasizing that it was the Lord's command to confront Pharaoh and leave Egypt. Moses and Aaron did not come up with this on their own. The power of God was with them because they were doing God's will and not because of something sexual about themselves.
The family list was there probably to let future generations know that this was a real event. They were descended from people who lived as eyewitnesses to the awesome power of God. This established the line of priests until the Hasmonaean dynasty.
To be used by God powerfully, you have to be aligned with His will. That can only come through intimacy with God and obedience to His commands. To be intimate, you have to commit the time to Him. This isn't a religious time but a time where a person truly desires to spend time with Him in order to get to know Him and please Him.
