Trust in the Lord even when it hurts.

As fallible beings, we always think we know what's best for us at all times. Sometimes we don't even realize that we're not thinking from a "what's best state of thinking" moreso than a "what I want state of thinking". Any of us that are parents always tell our children, "you'll understand when u get older that what I was telling u is what's best for u". Well we only find ourselves speaking that when they are going against what it is that we set forth for them to follow, It's the same with God. As His " children" we don't always understand why, how come or what about? Sometimes we are like that of literal children and we think we know what we want, when we want it and why we should have it but the truth is, Gods plan is so much greater, It's better than anything we could ever hope for, ever dream of. He has nothing but great thoughts towards us and wants nothing but the best for those who are called according to His purpose. This is one of numerous verses on how God views us; Jeremiah 29:11-13 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart." Sure there'll be times when we just can't see the light at the end of the tunnel but trust that while enduring and waiting, God is perfecting you to be able to receive what He has for you. In 1 Pet 5:9&10 it says "resist him (the devil), steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you." So when know that at times we will suffer, we will face hardships, we will go through things that seem discouraging but we have absolutely got to trust in the Lord and believe that weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning. He will never leave nor forsake us and even when it seems like we are going through hell, God is with us. Ask yourself what could I possibly gain by going through this hard time? Maybe it's humility, maybe it's patience, you may not understand it at first but trust that God ALWAYS knows what He's doing and that His way is ALWAYS better than ours, in fact His way is perfect. He will continue to deliver until the day of His glorious return. In my closing, "trust in the Lord with ALL your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in ALL your ways acknowledge. Him and He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes, fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh and strength to your bones"-Prov 3:5-7
