THE DOCTRINE OF UNLIMITED ATONEMENT
DEFINITION: Unlimited atonement is the judgement of Christ on the cross for the sins of the entire human race, not just for the elect (Rom. 5:6; 2 Cor. 5:14-15,19; 1 Tim. 2:6)
Unlimited atonement eliminates sin from the unbeliever's indictment at the Last Judgement. Human good rejected at the cross, will be his downfall (Rev. 20:12-15).
Since sins have been judged at the cross, under the law of double jeopardy they cannot be mentioned at the Last Judgement.
The unbeliever is indicted at the Last Judgement because he did not believe in Christ while on earth (John 3:18,36)
"Limited atonement," the theological concept that Christ died only for believers, contradicts, Scripture (John 3:16, 2 Peter 3:9).
"Your greatest ministry will probably come from you deepest hurt"
"It's better to build a child than repair an adult"
Atonement in the Old Testament refers to the use of animal sacrafices to represent the saving work of Christ. Animal sacrafices could not truly atone for sins (Rom. 3:23-26)
"part time christians/ part time joy/ part time praise"
food for thought: "many people go to church, very few go to worship"
