Obedience to God
S - The property was yours to sell or not sell, as you wished. And after selling it, the money was also yours to give away. How could you do a thing like this? You weren’t lying to us but to God!” (Acts 5:4 NLT)
O - Ananias was more concerned with what the people saw him do and look at him as someone of importance and of doing something exceptional, rather than having a right relationship with God and being obedient to him.
A - I need to be careful not to allow people's approval or praise be my motivator. I must always seek out God and his direction and be obedient to him alone.
P - Father, forgive me for the times I have sought out the approval of men over yours. I desire to be one who is always obedient to you. Give me the wisdom and the strength to walk that path.
