Greatest in the Kingdom

Jesus drew the attention of the disciples to the traits of a child as to what they should aspire to be:
A child is vulnerable/ dependent. It relies on the nurturing, protection and provision of its carer.
A child is teachable/ trainable. Children are more easy to shape, they absorb everything around them and are often seen copying what their parents do.

Jesus did not say that the greatest is one who does impressive feats, or one who never makes mistakes, or one who has much spiritual knowledge.

LORD, help me examine my heart attitude today, the nature of my relationship with you. Am I fully dependent on You, leaning on You and trusting that You will take care of me? Am I trying to imitate You, to be like You? Or am I just doing my own thing- making my own decisions, taking care of myself and asking You to endorse it?
