Something to think about.
I read this story on Facebook. Whether it is true or not, I really don't know, but it applies to my passage for today;
"A man was driving safely along the main street, keeping his distance from the cars in front of him and maintaining the speed limit as traffic would allow. Behind him though was a young woman, riding his bumper.
They came to an intersection and the light turned yellow, though the man could of most likely made it through the light, he did what was right and came to a stop, causing the tailgater to slam on her brakes.
The young woman rolled down her window and started screaming at the man at the top of her lungs cursing and cussing him out. Basically, words you would not think would come from a lady.
Suddenly, she heard a knock on her passenger window where a police officer was. As she rolled down the window, the police officer asked her to step out of the car and she was immediately arrested.
A few hour later, the officer came in and released her from the booking cell. He apologized for his action as he told her, 'when I saw the bumper sticker that said Jesus as the way, the truth and the life, and the kneeling man and women praying on a window sticker with a cross on it, I thought the car was stolen, only to find out it wasn't and you are the true owner."
As you see, the young lady advertised her Christian faith on her car, but with her ungodly action she was arrested. Never once did she think God was watching. In her case, God sent a police officer to the scene, and she received a wake up call.
Here is the fact to my verse as we read it again;
"Does He not see my ways and count my every step?"
The answer is yes! If we professed to be a Christian, born again, then we better not take for granted that He is not watching, because then you would be in denial.
God watches over everything, His children and non believers and that is a simple fact.
God watches over everything, His children and non believers and that is a simple fact.
What we need to do is always be on guard and not become stagnant in our walk, or like in the story above, God will send someone or something to wake us up.
All of our words, actions and deeds, better line up to Jesus' teaching. We are not only being watched by our Lord, but others when we advertised that we are followers of Jesus.
What we do will either get them curious about Christ or it will turn them off because we are no different than they are.
You may think I can't be perfect all the time, which is true and our Lord makes allowances for it because He knows we will fail and often, but the actions in my story about, is not failing, it is absolutely insane and as a follower of Jesus, it is unacceptable.
Always remember, God is watching, and if we get completely out of line as the story showed, then He will send us a wake up call to get back in line with His ways.
Amen
