Hairs of Your Head
The fear of man.
It is something that all of us, at some level, struggle with. We want others to like us. We don't want them to dislike us. Some of us are so worried by what people think of us, that we act like we don't want to. The fear of man leads to the land of worry and insecurity.
The fear of God.
We need to live in a recognition of the abilties of God. We need to know just how powerful and dangerous he is. He is God almighty. He has the strength to bring us to nothing. A fear of God brings us to a place of peace and security. We finally have no need of proving ourselves to those around us. We are secure in his arms.
Then we realize how much he cares. He even knows the hairs that are on our heads.
We are not forgotten by God.
Yet we are forgotten by people.
Yet another reason to fear God and leave the fear of man behind.
