You are my Portion
It is so easy to compare myself to others - what they have, what i don't, how easy it is for THEM, how hard it is for me.....blah, blah, blah
The Psalmist knows these feelings. He saw others' success. He felt envy, jealous, all that stuff that I can feel at times.
Where did he go? He got into God's presence! Once he did this, he knew he was where he needed to be. Being in the presence of Almighty God is by far, by far the best thing!
God showed him his heart and how bitterness had creeped in (once again).
Father God takes me, just like the Psalmist and loves on me, reveals to me any "junk" in my life and then reminds me that HE is my Strength, my Portion - FOREVER!
