The demonic and deadly side of tolerance!
When I think about the ideology of our society I have much concern that this verse applies, and the woe is real and certain. Our society hides the deception in the spirit of tolerance. We are being told constantly that we need to be a more tolerant people. We are told that we need to be more tolerant with those who have varying opinions, ideals and life practices. That thought sounds loving and nonjudgmental. But the problem is that it may be woefully wrong in God’s eyes. God says there is good, light, and sweet. There are truths that are good because He has made them good; they are light because He has given them that ability. Woe to the person who would call God’s good bad or God’s light darkness. Why? Because it is satanic. He is a murderer and a liar. His desire is to distort God’s truth so we can’t see it, be drawn to it and be saved.
It is time for Christians, myself included, to stand up for the truth. Do not listen to the false ideology of our society! Right is right, and wrong is wrong (even deadly). We need to clearly proclaim in word and deed that there is a good and a bad; that there is spiritual light and there is spiritual darkness; that there is the sweet message of the Gospel and the bitter lies and deception of the Devil. If we don’t do it, who is going to? We have been touched by the Light of the world. Jesus has shown the light of His grace into our lives. We need to let that light shine in the dark world in which we live. God uses our living in the truth as the means by which He reaches into the darkness to redeem and save those around us.
Let Satan alone receive the consequences of the “woe”! May we live in the truths of God’s word. May we make the world around us a little better, lighter, and sweeter.
