You got something to sing about
There's something about a song that can just touch your soul! When we hear songs that identify with what we're going through, it can minister to us! When we hear happy songs they can lift our spirits. When we hear songs of God we worship and celebrate Him!
I would have liked to hear them singing this song that they wrote about conquering the mighty Sisera!
It was celebration time for defeating their oppressor! Sisera had been cruel and demanding of them, and Deborah was leading this celebration because she is the one who maneuvered the whole operation!
This song told a story. Much like country music does! But it probably didn't sound country! Maybe it did..
Whatever it sounded like I imagine there was dancing, instruments playing, eating...Just a times of real celebration!'
When you're happy sing a song!

When you sing in church, you are singing The very Word of God. It gets in you and changes you, and you learn from singing those words,
because it's the Bible!
I'm a worship leader and singing worship songs has changed ME!
I have gone through some things the last several years that had taken a toll on me physically and mentally.
Worship has gotten me through!
Its been my healing salve!
It continues to work In me changing me!
When I've been depressed its lifted me out of the miry pit!
When I've been wrong it's corrected me.
When I've been happy it's blessed me!
It teaches me.
It convicts me,
It makes me better than I was!
Let's be like Deborah and Barak and sing our victories!
You won't forget that way.
You remember songs!
And when you're going through another battle, you will sing that song...and remember how God brought you through!
Whether you can carry a tune or not,
God doesn't care, he just loves that you sing to Him!
He just wants it to be authentic worship!

Sing to Him! Sing about Him! Sing with Him because He sings too.. Did you know that? He sings TO you!
