THIRSTY for God

have to wonder if Samson was in control of his temper instead of his temper controlling him, what might have been different?

God had definitely given him great strength and God was using Samson to destroy the philistines that ruled over the Israelites!
But was Samson seeking God's way to get it done?

Maybe, if he would have used that strength in clever, strategic ways...
If he would have listened better...
taken good advice!
If he would've been strong AND humble...

Some men would look at Samson and admire His strength.
Others would look unfavorably at his weakness.

But Samson's like anyone else...in the sense of needing God!
He had super human strength, but He didn't have God's peace.
His life was a mess!

Playboys are never fulfilled. They're always looking for a prettier woman,
Faster cars, more money...
But what they're longing for is what we all long for ...GOD!

Samson found the jawbone of a dead donkey, took it, and killed a thousand men with it!
Samson was very thirsty, so he cried out to the Lord, “You gave me, your servant, this great victory. Do I have to die of thirst now? Do I have to be captured by people who are not circumcised?” (Judges 15:15, 18 NCV)

Was he just thirsty for water here!
Or was he thirsty for God?
Jesus says he'll give us the kind of water that we will never thirst again'

but whoever drinks the water I give will never be thirsty. The water I give will become a spring of water gushing up inside that person, giving eternal life.” (John 4:14 NCV)

Samson, were you drinking just regular old water? Because if you were you will not be satisfied

Then God opened up a hole in the ground at Lehi, and water came out. When Samson drank, he felt better; he felt strong again. So he named that spring Caller’s Spring, which is still in Lehi. (Judges 15:19 NCV)

God will give us more if Him if we ask
and seek!
