Lev 20:2-5 - Dealing properly with those in sin
This is an alarming charge God is giving the people - that if they don't kill the man who has offered his son or daughter to the false god Molech then God Himself would actually deal with the man AND his family. Did you catch that? The man will not only be punished for what he did, but his family will as well IF the people didn't deal with him as God told them to. So basically the family of that man are in the hands of the people!
As leaders that deal with issues in our congregations if we don't deal properly with people who have given themselves to sin then the families of those people are in jeopardy. This is an extraordinary responsibility that God places on leaders, and it's one that we better not fail in.
