Mark 1:44 - Jesus, Joseph, Daniel.....

All three of these guys adhered strongly to a principle that's very important for us to understand - when we are in a position to do something great for God we need to "remove ourselves from the equation so that the transaction can be between God and whomever it is He wants to make Himself known to." When Joseph and Daniel were both given the interpretations of dreams for their kings, the very first thing they both did was tell the king that they were not the ones that did the interpretting - they were simply the vessels that God was using to deliver the message. Jesus adhered to this principle as well when we see Him telling those whom He healed to not tell others that He did it. Why wouldn't He want to do this? Well, first, because His time had not yet come and therefore He needed to stay more "incogneto" until His time to die had arrived. But secondly Jesus didn't want to become a "rock-star" - He wanted those whom He healed to show themselves to the priest and to others and show the way GOD had healed them and not this guy named Jesus. He was always about honoring His father's name above His own, even though He Himself was God! Joseph and Daniel were simply forshadowings of how Jesus lived His life!

Remember, in whatever situation you find yourself in where God can use you greatly, REMOVE YOURSELF FROM THE EQUATION SO THAT THE TRANSACTION CAN BE BETWEEN GOD AND THE PEOPLE WHOM HE WANTS TO REVEAL HIMSELF TO!
