An attitude like that of Caleb
Caleb calmed down the crowd and said, “Let's go and take the land. I know we can do it!” (Numbers 13:30 CEV).
To conquer, win or achieve victory you need a winning attitude. An attitude like that displayed by Caleb. You need a winning attitude. There will always be challenges or obstacles trying to stop you from inheriting God's promise. God had promised them the land. And now Moses had given the instructions for some men to go spy the land. And behold there were giants in the land. Ten of the spies had a loser's or grasshopper mentality/attitude. You can't conquer anything in life with fear and the mentality of a loser. Your attitude or mentality refers to what you think, what you say and ultimately what you believe and do.
The winners mentality thinks and says " I can do it" while the losers mentality is one that says " I can't". The difference is not the giant obstacles. Winners and losers alike both face giants. The difference between the two people is their mentality or attitude. The difference is "t". If in their thinking, beliefs and words the loser will remove the letter "t" from the can't things will change. When you remove the "t" from can't then you can. Caleb had a winning mentality. No surprise he was a winner. While every other person was complaining about how bad things were, he was saying we can. While everybody is complaining about how bad men are nowadays he(she) is thinking and saying positive things about her home even though the giants are there. While the majority was crying impossible, he was saying it is possible. And indeed he achieved the possible. The majority is not always right. The majority can so, so be wrong. God does not need the majority to agree with Him. One person with faith in God is enough to provoke a breakthrough or miracle. The woman with the issue is limited, has many challenges and no one to help her but through a winning attitude she takes what belongs to her. You can if you think you can and you can't if you think you can't.
Lets go. We can. That's the attitude of a winner. Such people look with the eyes of faith not with the eyes of sight. Faith focuses on God and His word. The physical eyes focus on the problem. Caleb had kept hearing Moses say God will take the people to the promised land. He believed it and trusted that God will do What He has said He will do. To develop and maintain a winning attitude you must hear, think, believe and confess the word of God. That's the way to win inspite of giant obstacles. Be like Caleb and say- I can have that child. I can have that job. I can have that excellent home. I can have that money. I can have that promotion. I can have that good thing. Don't just say it. Keep on saying it till you have it. Don't just keep on saying it. Believe what you are saying. The environment does not decide wether you win. Your attitude is what determines wether you win. To win you need an attitude like that of Caleb.
