But one thing we should know is that, while judgement ensues, it does not hurt us. We may be at the verge of eviction but God will provide shelter (Good shelter) one way or another; we may not have enough money for food but God will make sure we will have our scheduled meals; we may not have money to get treatment for a disease, but God will slowly restore our health and make the convalescent period much less painful. We should realize that God's protection (His mark of protection) is what exponentially scales down the challenges that come our way while those who do not know him may experience the full extent of them.

Why tone it down? Why not just eliminate it?

1. If these challenges are completely eliminated, we wouldn't be burdened to intercede for others to come to know-him. This should be our priority as believers.

2. Also, without these challenges, we ourselves risk falling into sin just like Israel's people did during the period when her people were both very prosperous and knew God.

Sometimes we may not see it because we have a tendency to only see what's wrong with our lives rather than what's right with it, but God has got our backs behind the scene. His mark of protection is upon us and we will live, even when death and destruction seems imminent! Stay steadfast brethren.
