Being An Obedient Disciple
S - saying to them, Go to the village ahead of you, and just as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. 3 If anyone asks you, Why are you doing this? say, The Lord needs it and will send it back here shortly Mark 11:2-3
O - Jesus instructs his disciples to go in town and get a donkey. If someone asks why your doing it, tell them the Lord sent you. So they did, they were questioned and their answer was sufficient.
A - As I read this, it struck me when Jesus asked them to do this, even though it seemed a bit odd, they didn't question him or doubt him. They just obeyed him. I need to be less questioning )which really is doubt) and more obedient to God when he calls me to.
P - Father, forgive me for being more like Thomas than these disciples. Help me to be more obedient. I strive to be an example of an obedient disciple rather than a doubting one.
