Every day I hear complaints, grumbling, sadness, stress, fear and other negativity out of the mouths of my God family . . . I know I should redirect them with encouraging words, speak to them in psalms, hymns or spiritual songs . . . but I often find a grumble coming out of my mouth instead (usually about the weather or my distaste for living in the NE). Lord help me change this today. I want to be a lifter of spirits, an encouraged in the faith. Please increase my awareness and help me to think before I speak. Give me encouraging words to say- help me recall them when I need them. Everything has eternal consequences. Give me Your heart and mind, my Lord.
