Power The Holy Spirit Grants
*Power can be used in 2 ways: -Unleashed, or -Harnessed *The Holy Spirit can work in the same ways as power: -During Pentacost, the Holy Spirit released it's fire on the disciples -Through the church it is harnessed bc the Holy Spirit points mankind towards our redemptive Savior *Jesus showed up to the frieghten disciiples after his death & brings peace & the Holy Spirit for them to established Christ's church. *The Holy Spirit serves 3 purposes: -It's a compass: Since Jesus is the truth, the WAY, and the life, the Holy Spirit serves as our road map, GPS system in our journey to be like Christ. ~Now this journey isnt going to be easy, but with the Holy Spirit as our guide, we will make it through. -it proclaims: Through the aid of the Holy Spirit, we as believer are able to boldly can declare what thus saith the Lord. Because of the light we have in us, we must shine so the world can see the goodness of God in us. We must also testify the things that God has done for us! -It emparts the truth: We receive so that we share, not to be selfish. We cannot be stingy with what God has given us. There is more to be Christian than looking the part, but we must also speak the part. Everywhere we go we should be able to testify the goodness of God. *If you are afraid to share with the goodness of God then ask the Holy Spirit to give you courage. -Next start testifying to your friends so you can be more comfortable. -The more comfortable you become with testifying to your frinds, them you feel more comfortable testifying to strangers. *Remember we overcome by the words of our testimony, so decide today that from here on out, you will testify the goodness of God.
