Why do you cry out to me

I find it really interesting that God asks Moses what amounts to "what is the big deal?" The Israelites are facing yet another reversal of Pharaoh's mind, potentially genocide, and ultimately, the nullification of God's rescue plan of the nation of Israel. There is no backup plan or tangible source of protection. If Moses ever had a time to cry out to God, this was it. Yet God seems to answer with incredulity at Moses' lack of trust, answering him as if it was the simplest thing in the world.

I would like to get to this point of faith, such that I am in tune with what God's plan is, and I just go forth and do it. Not out of presumption or foolhardiness, but rather out of a quiet assurance of faith and trust.
