In Jerusalem at the entrance of the temple visitors would say a psalm of each step. there were 15 steps to the temple. Each step they elevated their thinking towards the Lord.

step 1 Psalm 120:5-7 starts off with an attitude but the tone changes.

step 2 Psalm 121 where does my help come from? in our worship we connect and understand who we can rely on. vs. the maker of heaven and earth.

vs. 3 you will not slip as you approach God. keep your eye toward the Lord.

vs. 4-8 The Lord will watch over you.

Step 3 lift up God to others Psalm 122:1 Let us go to the house of the Lord

if we want to elevate our worship of God. take the next step lift our eyes toward God and not on ourselves.
