the covering and protection of the house symbolized by the scarlet cord (read: the blood of Jesus), does not follow the man. if a person removes themselves from the covering and protection of the shelter symbolized by scarlet, or act in a way that despises the shelter, they will lose that protection and "their blood will be on their own heads"
