seven woes

I can only imagine the suffering Christ was experiencing in his heart. These were his chosen people.
I never really looked at it that way. I just always thought disciples equaled chosen pharices & sadducies equaled bad. But that is not so. Jesus desperately loved these men who kept trying to trap him and kept trying to get him to slip up. His words are desperate sadness; for god himself was experiencing the fact that even now as he was walking and talking and giving freely to his most loved creation, they were still rejecting him.
With that rejection would come grave consequence and he could not change that fact for as much as he loved them, even more so he was to Holy to let it go. The only possible way to save them would be to let those very rejectors spill his blood and take his life.
This was his last plea to them to rethink their ways and change their hearts... He said all he could to warn them what their fate would be and it is a warning to us as well, not to fall into the same line of feeling as them.
