Ezra 3:12-13 Every time I come across this section of scripture, I can't help but wonder... were the older generation weeping because they did not approve of the modern facilities? I am becoming part of that older generation, and I embrace the younger people and their worship. I see a younger generation drawing closer than the generations before. As they draw closer, worship evolves. Yes I know, our God is never changing, but if you look at the Old Testament to the New Testament and on though history we are evolving in our faith, with prayer over our generations, each generation draws closer to God. So Why are we surprised when our children want to bring change in the church? Our prayers are being answered, why do some weep and hold onto "that is the way we have always done it"? So why do we allow our large churches to die, while our children either stray or better yet answer our generational prayers and build new foundations. New foundations that they can seek God, the way God tells them to seek Him, not in a Country Club setting, but as seekers for His Heart. Seekers with community, all differences put aside.
