David again refuses the first opportunity to fight his enemy
I am touched again by how much David trusts God. 'If God is allowing him to curse me, then let him. God Himself is able to turn this situation around. Curse or blessing, it is only God that can allow it and it is to Him only I must plead my cause. He alone can turn it around and not my strength/soldiers.'(my translation). Jesus too had d same attitude at the Garden of Gethsemane when the tide turned so forcefully against Him: He prayed till His tears became like blood for the cup to pass, yet He rebuked Peter (and healed the soldier's ear) who wanted to 'help' save Him. GOD ONLY SAVES. any other plan, A, B or C, unless given by Him, is futile.
