The word is living prophecy.
Not meant to condemn but to reveal.
Take a simple verse like Hebrews 11:6, without faith it is impossible to please God.
If you are not in tune with who God is, this scripture can be very condemning. Our relationship with God typically revolves around how we are not good enough. While that is true, it is only the beginning of truth. Our shortfalls bring us to the Lord but are not our foundation in the Lord.
We have such a small revelation of God that we rely on preachers & ministers to tell us about blessings. It is because of their knowledge of the Word that they can speak blessings with confidence. We get excited about prophecy because it builds us up and encourages our faith. There is nothing wrong with this reaction but as a Christian, we should realize that God's word is living prophecy that was spoken by God by the prophets in the Bible. They already heard from God and wrote down His Word so when we seek a word of prophecy we should go straight to the original WORD!
