The provision God promised Elijah didnt look like much
God gave a word through Elijah that there will be drought but promised to care for him. And if you think that been served breakfast & dinner by ravens a bit dramatic, wait till you hear what happens next.
The brook dries up & God tells him He has instructed a widow to care for him for the duration of the drought.
Elijah travels to where the said provider was, and what does he find? A widow gathering sticks to prepare a final meal before awaiting death! Ha, doesnt sound much like a provider to me.
And thats the amazing thing about our God. The help He has arranged for me wouldnt look like much at the beginning, it could look like a trial. But the latter end of it will greatly increase. I guess its that 'Jealous' part of His nature, where He wont share His glory. It has to always be obvious that HE alone did it & not a coincidence.
