Debt release
For all the "year of Jubilee" stuff I've been hearing since I was a child, I've never heard of this. I'm starting to wonder how much stuff pastors actually read, and how much is just recycled from other pastors.
I was guilty of this myself though, because I used to take a "bible study" or "bible proof" way of reading scripture. Its basically that you pick a topic you want to learn about, get a concordance, and jump around from verse to verse till you think you understand the topic/doctrine.
That approach isnt inherently bad, as long as you've already read the entire bible from start to finish with understanding. Then you understand the context of all those verses. I'm also finding that by reading the bible through myself, I dont really need a concordance, and when I do, I can use it way more effectively.
