Abundant Heart, Abundant Mouth

"...If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

Rom. 10:9 is one of the most quoted scriptures of the New Testament. Often oversimplified is the way in which one comes to salvation. This process described is very simple but could easily be misunderstood as an act rather than a lifestyle.

Confession with my mouth is based on belief in my heart. Therefore, if my heart holds the belief in the resurrection, my mouth should reflect that belief.

This reflection should be continual. My mouth shouldn't only confess Jesus as Lord upon my entry into the Kingdom of God. My heart should continue to grow in its love for Jesus, therefore resulting in a growing profession of my faith.

If the mouth speaks from the abundance of my heart (and it does!), then I should have an abundance of confessions, professions, declarations, praises and thanksgivings flowing from my heart to mouth because of what I believe.
