Set Your Focus On Things Above
*As children, we are often told not to look down. -Why? For one we may miss what is coming ahead. If we are too busy looking at our feet, we may bump into something or someone. -It is also a sign of timidness. When you look down, especially when you are speaking to others, it shows lack of confidence. *Well the same goes for our spiritual lives. -We must set not only our spirtual eyes, but heart mind & soul on heavenly things. -We do NOT serve a Savior who is buried in the ground, but rather is sitting in heaven with His father. -When set our focus on things above, we won't miiss what God has for us. Whether it be a blessing or an assignment. We cant see what God has for us, if our focus is on what is going down here on earth. -Yes it is true that we are in this world, but remember that like Donald Lawrence said in the song "Spiritual," we are not physical beings having a spiritual experience. But we are rather spiritual beings having a physical experience. -With that being said don't get so caught up in what's going on in this world that we lose our focus on what God has for us. -Also, remember that when you look down, you are showing lack of confidence. -If we say that we trust God then our demeanor must show it. -We must remember that we have to do like David & look to the hills from whence cometh our help. Our help comes from the Lord. -So look up & show to the world that our God has focus & we are confident that no matter what our situation may look like, God is still in control. ~Prayer: Dear God, We come telling you thank you! Thank you God for being our help & our strenght, when we lack. We thank you God for reminding us that in order to receive all that you have for us, we can't look down. But we must focus our whole being on you. We are thankful God that we don't serve a dead Savior, but one who is resurrected. When He rose, so did our focus. God we praise you that, we can now walk in confidencce because our focus is set on you! God constantly reminds us of this, as we continue to be spiritul beings in a physical realm. We love you & praise you. And in Jesus name, we pray, Amen!
