A Royal Priesthood in the Neighbourhood

Introduction We are on the start of a new journey. Do we want more of the Lord, His presence & manifestation so that He can work through us?

1 We are called to be a chosen generation. So live in subjection to the Lord. 1 Peter 2:9,10,21: Notice God sees us as a corporate people.

We are a Chosen People - He has already chosen us. King James version: We are a chosen generation.

A Royal Priesthood. A priest ministers to God & also directs pple to God.

A Holy Nation: Notice the calling of holiness is corporate - to a nation. We are all to live holy lives before the Lord.

A People Belonging to God - His Own Special People (NKJV). We have been purchased with a previous price. So how then shall we live? Follow the example of Jesus in Verse 21.

2 We are called to be a Community of Grace. So live in submission to leadership. 1 Peter 2:10-17.

Jesus submitted to the leadership of the Father. As God has placed us in community, we are to submit to our leaders and live in unity & love which is a powerful testimony to outsiders (vs 12 & 13). So when you join the DJ Cell, learn to honour one another and submit to your leaders. Scriptures tells us there is great blessing in submitting to leaders, Hebrews 13:17.

3 We are called to be a celebrative generation. So live to show His love. 1 Peter 2:21, 2:9 John 13:34-35

God called us out of darkness into His marvelous light.

The day we are not grateful for God's call into His marvelous light, that day our faith is dead.

We are called to be a celebrative Christian who will not just warms the seats of the church, but warms the hearts of pple out there. Let us be a church who go beyond the pillars of our building so that our neighbourhood will become a neighbourhood of God.
