Level Ground
08/27/2011 I believe level ground is Holy Ground. I believe Holy Ground is wherever we walk. That means that wherever we are, we are in the "great congregation." We are so busy "judging" others. Why can't we see with Spiritual eyes, they way God views them. God does not see people the way we do, He loves, and sees a potential child He desires relationship with. He does not see a Meth addict, He sees the child that He once knew, that he desires to have fellowship with again. We as a people have forgotten that we were once sinners, and that all sins are equal, except for one, and that is because they will never even on their death bed admit that there is a God. Who are we to say that the sinner we know will be that one. Not I.
He was in his nineties, I taught Bible Study in a nursing home. I would visit with his wife who was a strong Christian. After her death, I would stop and talk with him. Each day I would end with, "Are you ready today Mr. _____?" He would say no. The last days of his life the nurses became panicked, they would tell me, he needed salvation. Three days before he passed, I went in and asked "Mr. ______ are you ready today. Mrs. _______ will be waiting for you. He looked at me and started crying. He told me he was too bad of a person, and God wouldn't take him. That day, in that little room, was Ps. 26:2 experience for me. Three days latter he was gone.
At his graveside, as the family mourned, one of the great grandsons, (my age) told me he just wished he had known where his soul was. I said, "Let me tell you what happened three days ago..."
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER give up! God did not give up on me, nor did He give up on you!!!
